Tips |
Welcome
to the How To Tips area of
our website : the "Doing
It Yourself" information
guide
This section began in March
of 1997, offering musicians
advice and information about
important aspects of thier
career such as doing your
own publicity, radio promotion,
publishing, and other interesting
content.
When we first launched this
area in 1997 it went under
the name "DIY TIPS"
- since then is has been re-named
"Your Music Guide",
"Music Handbook"
and finally back to "How
To Tips". The main reason
for going with the new name
was that it is the perfect
description for what it is
- providing information for
musicians to help themselves.
Having come from backgrounds
of playing in bands, recording
engineering, production and
music business - we found
that
getting acces to this type
of information was not always
easy -
and many artists didn't know
where to look. By providing
some basic information in
a few areas we felt that we
could point musicians in the
right direction. We hope you
enjoy the section and if you
would like to see any type
of specific information provided
let usknow and we'll see what
we can dig up.
You will find more than
30 printed pages of information
for you to use. Feel free
to copy, print and distribute
them. The only thing we ask
is that you keep the information
intact and do not alter or
sell it. We have many contributors
and they deserve the
recognition for the work they've
provided.
Thanks. |
